§ 6.10.020. Keeping of livestock.
A.
It is unlawful for any person to keep or harbor any hog within the corporate limits of the city or to permit any hog to be kept or harbored on any lot owned or leased by him or her or under his or her custody or control.
B.
It is unlawful for any person, being the owner or keeper or person in charge of any cattle, horses, jacks, jennets, swine, sheep or goats, to permit the same to run at large within the corporate limits of the city.
C.
No person shall keep, raise, or maintain horses, mules, donkeys, ponies, cattle, sheep or goats anywhere within the corporate limits of the city, except upon compliance with the following space requirements:

Horses, Mules, Donkeys, Ponies and Cattle. There shall be a minimum space of 5,000 square feet per animal for each horse, mule, donkey, pony, cow, calf, steer, or bull kept within the city limits. Any space where such animals are kept shall be surrounded by a fence of sufficient strength to confine such animals therein and to prevent the same from escaping and being at large, which confining or surrounding fence shall be not less than 500 feet at its closest point from the residence or dwelling of any other person than the owner of such animal or animals.

Sheep and Goats. There shall be a minimum space of 250 square feet per animal for each sheep or goat kept within the city limits. Any space where such animals are kept shall be surrounded by a fence of sufficient strength to confine such animals therein and to prevent the same from escaping or being at large, which confining or surrounding fence shall be located not less than 50 feet at its closest point from the residence or dwelling of any other person than the owner of such animal or animals.
D.
It is unlawful for a person to stake any kind of animal in such a manner that it may graze on any sidewalk, street or alley within the corporate limits of the city.
E.
It is unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to allow or permit any chickens, ducks, geese, guineas, turkeys or other fowl belonging to him or her or under his or her control, charge or management to run at large within the corporate limits of the city, or any part thereof, except in and upon the premises owned, leased, rented or controlled by the owner of such chickens or other fowl.
F.
It is unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to possess, keep under his or her control, house, maintain or harbor more than ten female chickens on his or her premises at any time within the corporate limits of the city.
G.
It is unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to possess, keep under his or her control, house, maintain or harbor more than two male chickens on his or her premises at any time within the corporate limits of the city.
