§ 17.04.020. Districts established.

    Zoning districts and regulations as set forth in this section are established. The city is divided into three types of districts:

    1.

    R districts—Residential;

    2.

    B districts—Business;

    3.

    I districts—Industrial.

    B.

    The three types of districts are further divided into the following districts:

    1.

    R-1 first single-family dwelling district;

    2.

    R-2 second single-family dwelling district;

    3.

    R-3 third single-family dwelling district, which shall be limited to areas so zoned at the time of passage of the ordinance codified in this title;

    4.

    R-4 two-family and multifamily dwelling district;

    5.

    R-5 manufactured home district;

    6.

    B-1 neighborhood business district;

    7.

    B-2 general and highway business district;

    8.

    B-3 central business district;

    9.

    I industrial district.

    C.

    The boundaries of the districts are as shown on the "district map" attached to the ordinance codified in this title and made a part of this title by reference.

    D.

    Whenever the city council vacates a street or alley right-of-way, the adjacent districts shall extend to the center line of such vacation.

    E.

    Land annexed to the city is automatically placed in the R-1 single-family dwelling district until changed by amendment to this title in accordance with Section 17.16.010.
