§ 12.36.040. Use classifications.
A.
Licensable uses are classified as commercial, charitable, not-for-profit, or arts in education.
B.
A charitable use is a licensable use for the purpose of raising money for a charitable, educational, or civic purpose, if the applicant does not receive from the revenues of the use any compensation for sponsoring, promoting, or producing the use and if all the net revenues of the use are paid over to the charity or educational or civic body.
C.
A not-for-profit use is a licensable use to which the invitees are admitted without charge and which does not directly or indirectly promote, advertise, or market the business, products, or services of a particular person or entity engaged in commerce.
D.
A commercial use is a licensable use which is not classified as charitable, not-for-profit or arts in education.
E.
An arts in education use is a licensable use if the participants of the program are under eighteen and the theatre manager deems it to be an educational experience for them.
