§ 8.24.030. Removal of released material.
A.
A responsible person shall immediately take all actions reasonably necessary to clean up and remove hazardous materials released within the city.
B.
If the responsible person is unwilling or, in the opinion of the emergency management director of the city, is unable to clean up and remove the release, or if the responsible person's actions are inadequate the city may undertake the removal of the release. The city may employ agents and contractors for that purpose, who shall act under the supervision of the emergency management director.
C.
If the source of a release is unknown, the city may clean up and remove the release.
