§ 5.30.020. Signage.

  • A.

    One officially authorized garage/yard sale signs shall be issued with each garage/yard sale permit. These signs may be placed on any private property with permission of the property owner.

    B.

    At least one authorized garage/yard sale sign must be posted on site where the garage/yard sale occurs. Garage/yard sale signs shall be posted during the sale, and shall be removed at the expiration of the garage/yard sale permit. The person or persons exercising ownership or leasehold rights over property on which a garage/yard sale is held or advertised to be held shall be presumed to have placed and exhibited the sign advertising the garage/yard sale which identifies the person's address or location at which the garage/yard sale is to be held. This presumption may be rebutted by evidence to the contrary.

    C.

    It is expressly prohibited for any person, group, or organization to post a garage/yard sale sign on any public property including, but not limited to, traffic control devices, utility poles, and any public right-of-way.
