§ 2.92.020. Duties.

  • The board shall have the general purpose of advising the city manager and city council on matters pertaining to the rules, regulations, operation, repair, maintenance and improvement of cemeteries that are owned, operated or maintained by the city. The powers, duties and authority of the board shall be advisory and consultative only; provided that the city council may from time to time, with respect to specific matters and periods of time, authorize the board to provide staff services to the city with respect to communications and contracts with private persons and state and federal agencies. The board will consult with and advise the city manager with respect to the cemeteries, as and when requested by the city manager.
