§ 2.72.020. Employees included.

Each person who becomes an employee of any participating department on or after the effective date of participation of such department shall be included within and subject to the provisions of the Texas Municipal Retirement System beginning upon the date such person becomes an "employee" as defined in Section 61.001(8) of Title 110b of the Revised Civil Statutes; provided, however, that from and after July 12, 1956, no new department or new employees of the city shall be added to the Texas Municipal Retirement System.
