§ 13.16.090. Enterprise zone rate adjustments.

As used in this section:

"Enterprise zone" means an area designated as an enterprise zone in accordance with Chapter 2303, Texas Local Government Code.

"Qualified business" means a person or entity certified as a qualified business under Section 303.401, Texas Local Government Code.

B.

The city council may adjust a municipal utility rate by a quantifiable standard for a qualified business in an enterprise zone, considering factors such as job creation, economic impact, or potential job loss. The term and amount of adjustment may be on an industry-specific basis.
