§ 8.08.030. Fire lanes.

  • A.

    It is unlawful to stop, park or stand any non-emergency motor vehicle in an area properly marked as a fire lane per the requirements of Section 503 of the International Fire Code as adopted by the city, so as to obstruct the same, in whole or in part.

    B.

    The fire marshal, any building official or other code enforcement officer, or any member of the police department is authorized to issue citations for violations of this section.

    C.

    Any unauthorized motor vehicle stopped, parked or left standing in a properly marked fire lane as designated by the fire marshal, whether on public or private property, may be removed by or on the authority of the fire marshal or any person authorized to have vehicles towed under state law or this Code.
