Article I. Generally |
§ 5.12.050. Application for permit.
The planning director or his/her designee shall issue to any applicant applying therefor, who has complied with all the requirements of this chapter, a permit authorizing the peddler, itinerant vendor or mobile food vendor to operate within the city limits as specified by the permit. Such permit is not transferrable and shall be applicable to the person or entity applying and receiving such permit. The permit shall state on its face the name of the person to whom it is issued and the expiration date.
When an application and accompanying documents have been filed in proper form, the planning director or his/her designee shall make an appropriate investigation of the applicant. A permit will be issued within 30 days or if denied, the applicant will be sent a certified letter stating the reasons for the denial and notifying the applicant of his or her right to appeal to the city council.
