Chapter 3.06. COLLECTION EFFORTS FOR OUTSTANDING DEBTS OWED TO CITY |
§ 3.06.010. Collection efforts for outstanding debts owed to city; exceptions.
A.
The city may decline to grant a permit or provide paid-for services to any individual who has an outstanding debt to the city until such debt is paid in full or the individual is placed on a payment plan and has demonstrated acceptable payment history as determined by the finance director.
B.
The following are not subject to Subsection A. above:
1.
Any fines, fees or charges assessed against an individual as a result of a conviction, adjudication or warrant from the Uvalde Municipal Court.
2.
Permits for parades or demonstrations.
3.
Application fees for changes in zoning.
C.
This section is cumulative and in addition to any other ordinance, statute or power conferred upon or assumed by the city in order to collect debts and/or manage accounts. Nothing in this section should be construed to limit any other power of the city to collect debts or manage accounts.
