§ 2.76.050. Police officers included under social security.
A.
The city manager is authorized, on behalf of the city, to execute and enter into all necessary or supplementary or amendatory agreements with the state employees retirement system for the purpose of extending to and including social security coverage for all police officers of the city.
B.
The city comptroller is directed to make such assessments, collections, payments, and reports as may be required by the state employees retirement system to provide social security coverage for all police officers of the city.
C.
A sufficient sum of money shall be allocated and set aside from available funds for the purpose of providing social security coverage for all police officers of the city, such money so allocated and set aside to be known as a part of the city's social security fund, which fund shall be set aside and maintained in the regular city depository.
