§ 2.56.020. Chief and assistants—Bond.
The chief of police and his or her assistants shall each execute to the city a bond conditioned that they will honestly and faithfully perform the duties of their office and promptly turn over and deliver to the city all moneys belonging to the city and collected by them. The bond of the chief of police shall be in the penal sum of twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000.00) and the bond of each assistant shall be in the penal sum of twenty thousand dollars ($20,000.00). Each such bond shall be signed by sureties satisfactory to the mayor, and each such bond shall be approved by the mayor.
