§ 2.08.020. Supervision of city officers—Examination of books and records of officers.

The mayor shall have general supervision and control over all city officers and may, whenever he or she shall see fit, examine into the condition of their respective offices, the books, papers and records therein, the manner of conducting their official business, and may call upon any officer for information in relation to any matter pertaining to his or her office.
