§ 13.12.020. Purpose.

The purpose of this chapter is:

A.

To establish regulations limiting the discharge of all wastes into the sanitary sewer system which could or would cause damage or obstruction to the sewer collection system, or would damage or interfere with operation of the sewer treatment plants, or cause unreasonable maintenance attention and expense to either the collection system or treatment facilities, or would be detrimental to the quality of the final effluent from the sewage treatment plant.

B.

To establish surcharge rates for discharges of industrial wastes which exceed the specified limits as described herein and to provide for the method of payment for such charges.

C.

To provide penalties for violation of the regulations established herein.
