Article II. City-Owned Water Wells |
§ 13.04.220. Water well construction.
All city-owned water wells drilled shall be constructed and completed in accordance with TNRCC Rules and Regulations for Public Water Systems (30 TAC Sections 290.38 et seq.), and applicable regulations promulgated by the UCUWCD, as those regulations may be amended from time to time, which are incorporated by reference as if set forth fully in this section. In addition, all city-owned water wells drilled shall be constructed as follows:
A.
All wells shall be constructed in accordance with public drinking water supply standards; and
B.
Wellheads and well vents shall be at least two feet above the highest known watermark or one hundred (100) year flood elevation (base flood elevation); and
C.
No well other than a city-owned and operated public drinking water supply well is permitted to be connected directly or indirectly to the city water system.
