§ 13.04.080. Opening or closing fire hydrants—Removing covers of gate valves or shutoffs.

It is unlawful for any person to open or close any fire hydrant or stop cock connected with the waterworks system of the city or lift or remove the covers of any gate valves or shut-offs thereof, without the permission of the superintendent of the waterworks system, except in case of fire, and then under the direction of officers of the fire department.
