Article I. Generally |
§ 13.04.060. Tapping fees.
A.
The person requesting the three-fourths-inch water service shall pay one hundred dollars ($100.00) tap and the pavement cut fee, and the city will extend the first fifty (50) feet of main at no charge. For service lines larger than three-fourths-inch, the person requesting the service will pay the full cost of the tap plus the pavement cut fee. For an extension over fifty (50) feet, the person requesting the service will pay the full cost for the water main and the pavement cut fee.
B.
Outside the city limits, the person requesting the water service shall pay the total expense of the service, plus the tap fee and the pavement cut fee.
C.
If the city wishes to install a larger line than necessary to serve the person requesting the service, then the city may pay the difference between the larger line and the smaller line required to serve the person requesting the service.
D.
In subdivisions or areas where the developer has installed the water mains and taps and where the city is requested to connect the meter and service line to the tap, there shall be a special connection charge of fifty dollars ($50.00).
E.
If a request for water line extension or maintenance within the city limits requires a pavement cut, the water department is authorized and required to collect in advance the following fees:
1. For a bell-hole type street cut $35.00 2. For a trench type street cut 70.00 3. For a trench type alley or driveway cut 35.00 4. For a trench type street cut over fifty (50) feet in length, an additional fee per linear foot 1.00
