§ 10.28.040. One-way street designated—Portion of Geraldine Street.

  • A.

    As used in this section, the following terms shall have the meaning and definition as follows:

    1.

    "Motor vehicle" means a vehicle that is self-propelled.

    2.

    "Vehicle" means a device in, on, or by which a person or property is or may be transported or drawn on a public street or public highway. The term includes, but it is not limited to, a motor vehicle, truck-tractor, semi-trailer, truck-tractor and semi-trailer or a trailer.

    B.

    There being a public necessity and for the benefit of the citizens of the City of Uvalde, Texas, and for the city, a certain designated area of Geraldine Street is designated as a one-way traffic street from its intersection with the west side of South Getty Street to its intersection with the east side of South High Street.

    C.

    The one-way traffic will flow and travel from east to west, starting on the intersection of Geraldine Street with the west side of South Getty Street and then traveling east on Geraldine Street to the intersection of Geraldine Street with the east side of South High Street.

    D.

    It is unlawful to operate any vehicle on the identified portion of Geraldine Street which has been designated as a one-way traffic street, in any direction other than as above stated and designated.
