§ 14. City secretary.

  • There is hereby created the office of City Secretary. The city secretary shall be appointed and may be removed by the city manager. The city secretary shall serve as the clerk of the city council, give notices of its meetings, keep the journal of its proceedings, authenticate by his or her signature and record all ordinances and resolutions adopted by the city council, and shall possess such other powers, authority and duties as may be assigned to him or her by this city charter or, not inconsistent with this city charter by the city manager or by ordinance.
