 Appendix B. ELECTRIC

  § 9. [Grant conditioned on grantee's acceptance; effect thereof.]

  • This grant is conditioned that the Grantee shall file its written acceptance of this franchise within ninety (90) days after the adoption of this ordinance, and upon such acceptance the electric franchise under which Grantee has been operating heretofore in the City of Uvalde, being the electric franchise granted to Central Power and Light Company, its successors and assigns, to continue in effect until December 1, 1984, by an ordinance adopted by the City Council of the City of Uvalde, Texas, and approved on the 30th day of December, 1954, shall stand terminated and surrendered.

    READ IN FULL THE FIRST READING at a regular meeting on the 13th day of September, 1977.

    READ IN FULL THE SECOND READING at a regular meeting on the 11th day of October, 1977.

    READ IN FULL AND PASSED THIRD AND FINAL READING at a regular meeting on the. 8th day of November, 1977, by the following vote:

    NAYS:

    None

    The foregoing ordinance having been read in full and passed at three regular council meetings and having been approved at a special election called for the purpose and held on the 8th day of November, 1977, is adopted.

    I, the undersigned City Secretary of the City of Uvalde, Texas, do hereby CERTIFY that the foregoing is a full, true, and correct copy of an ordinance granting to Central Power and Light Company, its successors and assigns, an electric light, heat, and power franchise which was finally passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Uvalde held on the 8th day of November, 1977, as the same appears of record in the Minutes of said City Council in Volume 13 at page 157.
